Hokkaido University 北海道大学

  • Hokkaido, Japan 北海道

Hokkaido University is distinguished by having the trifecta of degree programs taught completely in English, degree programs taught in Japanese, and a Modern Japanese Studies degree program that, while it does not focus solely on language studies, has no Japanese language proficiency requirements and produces students fluent in Japanese.

Of all of Japan’s national universities, Hokkaido University is the one with the most significant number of faculties. Also, due to its locations on the northerly island of Hokkaido, it has unique access to a multitude of enthralling national parks and many other natural wonders. Students at the Sapporo campus, in particular, will be very near to the world-famous Sapporo Snow Festival.
