Kanazawa University 金沢大学
- Ishikawa, Japan 石川県
Kanazawa University’s courses are primarily in Japanese, but they do have some courses in English (especially science courses, but others as well). This makes the school particularly suited for students who have studied the Japanese language, but also possible for some students who have not.
Kanazawa, situated on Japan’s West Coast, is known for its teahouse towns, alive and still running after hundreds of years, such that walking through them is like walking in a history book. In fact, traditionally trained geisha still work in these teahouse towns. Kanazawa is also known for its meticulous traditional handicrafts and seasonal natural beauty. At the same time, Kanazawa is also the capital city of its prefecture and has plenty of modern Japan to experience.
