Saitama University 埼玉大学

  • Saitama, Japan 埼玉県

Saitama University does not offer undergraduate programs taught in English but does provide graduate programs taught in English. Graduate students have the option of taking their courses taught in English, or in Japanese. Saitama University may, therefore, be a good choice for graduate students who have studied the Japanese language and wanted to test out their skills in a university course, but also want the option to take courses in English if they decide that is preferable.

Saitama is located adjacent to Tokyo. It has relatively easy access to the famous neighborhoods of the big city but provides a somewhat more suburban and relaxed environment. You may have seen Saitama without realizing it if you ever watched the animated film “My Neighbor Totoro”! Saitama is known for its sports teams (and sports fans) and river rafting and is not far from Mt. Fuji as well as several other mountains that are also quite beautiful and hikeable if less well-known.
